Who Am I? Where Do I Go? How Do I Do This? These are all questions that every young adult in a lost world seeks to know the answer to. Vision is Hope City’s Young Adult Ministry where our focus is on friendship, discipleship, and growth in the most important season of young adult life. The purpose and prayer for these young adults is that they will grow in relationship with Christ and the purposes He has for them. We do this in line with Hope City’s mission of Love God, Love People, Share Jesus and Make Disciples and our vision statement to Save, Shift, and Send.
Vision Statement
- Save: Salvation is the free gift that is given to us from Jesus, by the sacrifice He made for us on the cross at Calvary. However, it is a choice we must make to receive it or not. Vision exists to see Young Adults in Ridgecrest become saved by the blood of Jesus Christ. That is the first goal: salvation.
- Shift: The shifting is a process that may take a long time, it is the sanctification process-which is life long. We desire to see a shift happen in the lives of the Young Adults that attend Vision, and who have been saved. A shift in mindset, worldview, heart posture, and beliefs as they continue to walk with Jesus.
- Send: The Gospel was never meant to be kept to ourselves. We want to see the lives of these Young Adults become so different and changed, that we would then equip them to be sent out into the world to spread the Good News. We do not create this call, or force it, but we do encourage the sharing of the Gospel to happen, no matter the context or place. This could be the marketplace, in the church, in community, or in missions.
